Originally from Clermont-Ferrand, they could just as well come from the London underground or the Jamaican studios. In 2020, they released a new album produced at Bat Records studio with Jahno: “Tales Of A Wild World“. It consists of two different versions of six stories that denounce modern times. These six tracks question economic and political systems while sharply observing today’s human values. The first vinyl is carried by Dub Shepherds, while the second vinyl features Ivan Jah and J.A.H.N.O., bringing different approaches both in the mix and in the lyrics.

After the attention received by the programmers and radios (Nova, FIP…) for this notable double maxi, they return in 2021 with a different register from the ’70s vibes they had accustomed us to. The EP “Nah Jester” stands out from their previous productions with a more digital and modern sound, and lyrics that address new themes. It includes three energetic tracks accompanied by their high-energy dub!

After some side projects and a successful collaboration with Junior Roy, the Dub Shepherds are back on stage in 2023 with a new album on the horizon. The first single, “Soulful Music,” will be available on May 17, 2023.
